Join the Team: Become a Remote Representative for Civicom Aid in Your Country
with Civicom AidAs a remote representative for Civicom Aid, you will play a vital role in helping our organization make a positive impact in the world. Whether you're acting as an eye to see or a mouth to speak, your work will expose you to new people, organizations, and experiences that will shape who you are. If you take on the role of an eye to see, you'll be responsible for grant research. You'll scour the internet to compile a list of potential donors that support causes like farming, health, education, or clean energy. This will require attention to detail and excellent research skills, but it's a rewarding way to help Civicom Aid identify funding opportunities. Alternatively, you can act as a mouth to speak. This role involves reaching out to potential donors and sharing Civicom Aid's mission and impact. Whether you're writing emails or giving presentations, you'll be the voice of our organization and a critical part of our fundraising efforts. No matter which role you choose, you'll be part of a team that values collaboration and communication. Our team members will be there to support you, share their skills, and discuss new ideas. By the time your work is done, you'll have developed new friendships and skills that will stay with you long after your time with Civicom Aid.

Spring is here! Make a difference with Mother's Day cards!
Cystic Fibrosis Research Institute (CFRI) is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for cystic fibrosis (CF) research and programs. We are in great need of volunteers to help us prepare Mother's Day cards! This activity involves inserting items into the cards, labeling/stamping envelopes, and dropping off the cards at the post office. The cards will be mailed to wonderful supporters to help raise funds for vital CF research and programs. The cards display a beautiful rose. After a child with CF pronounced cystic fibrosis as "sixty five roses," the rose became a meaningful symbol over the years within the CF community. We can make arrangements for volunteers to pick up materials at our office. This is also a great family activity. Volunteers who need community service credit are also welcome to sign up. If you are interested, please click on the "I want to help!" button on this page, so we can schedule a time for a pick up. On behalf of the people living with cystic fibrosis and their families, thank you for your kindness and generous support. Volunteers like you are the heart of the community!

Pennsylvania Chapter Board Member opportunity
Are you looking to evolve your purpose in life? Consider joining a board for a non-profit that is driven by a singular mission with a huge impact: The Gift of Adoption Fund seeks to fill the void that separates child from family through adoption completion grants, giving vulnerable children a permanent home and the chance to thrive. Gift of Adoption is a national 501(c)(3) that provides the final funds that prospective adoptive parents need to complete the adoptions of vulnerable children from within the U.S. and from around the world. In these unprecedented times, the need is greater than ever to help connect children with the families that want to provide them with a stable, loving home. At the Gift of Adoption Fund, we believe that every child has the right to a family, and our Board Members are the arms and legs in helping us create this reality. Networking and fundraising are the primary responsibilities of board members. To fundraise, we organize fun (mostly virtual) social events, online campaigns and more. The board currently consists of professionals who volunteer their time and connections to further the cause. You can live anywhere in the state but are expected to participate in monthly calls and, ideally, quarterly meetings. 100% of the money we raise goes directly to completing families' adoptions in your state. We are a team of smart, dedicated (and, we like to think, fun!) people who believe that a loving family is a basic human right. We are looking for Board Members who: - Are passionate about volunteering to help children. - Have creative fundraising ideas and the motivation and social network to make them happen! - Are connected to and/or interested in outreach to the local business community. - Enjoy connecting people and finding partnership opportunities. - Are comfortable reaching out to their network of family and friends about a good cause. - Have strong communication skills, and are highly organized. - Want a volunteer opportunity that makes a permanent difference! We expect that you will: - Help plan and attend fundraising events. - Work with the other board members to collectively raise money to fund adoptions. - Participate in one board call a month. - Attend a quarterly in-person meeting. -Make a personal donation each year that you serve on the board, and meet a fundraising goal. - Help recruit other board members to join the mission. If this sounds like you, we’d love to talk! Reach out to us today with the following information: Why are you interested in the Gift of Adoption? Where in the state are you located? What unique quality could you bring to our organization? And please note that this is a volunteer, un-paid position. Our Board Members typically serve 3-year terms. Reach out to us today to find out how you can make a lifelong impact in the life of a child and a family in PA. Female Virtual Board Member Needed
with YesLiberiaLooking for a way to give back without spreading yourself too thin? Consider joining our board. Nothing gets better than serving on a board and meeting virtually 90% of the time. We're currently seeking two Board Members to help lead our cause! Serving with YesLiberia will also provide you an excellent opportunity to learn about Liberia’s history and progress. For instance, did you know that Liberia is the only African country founded with the help of freed slaves from the USA? Did you know Liberia is the first African country to elect a female president? Sadly, Liberia is also one of only two countries in the world where young people are less educated than their parents. Let’s change this fact together from the comfort of your home! As a board member, you’ll join an existing team to help direct us with the following: Participate in the conversations during our virtual meetings (one-hour conference calls every 30 days). Help develop and implement strategies for our programs and operations. Vote on issues discussed and hold the Board Chair accountable to the bylaws. Make personal contributions to support the cause or share networks and open doors for the organization, inviting others to contribute. Attend our annual Board retreat in September, October, or November! While everyone is encouraged to apply, for this position, we are particularly interested in applicants with some experience in either fundraising, grant writing, or establishing partnerships. We invite you to apply and start creating meaningful impacts almost effortlessly!

This is your opportunity! :) We ask everyone to please fill out the following volunteer application so we know how to contact you, what you're interested in and you are properly registered: https://tailsct.z2systems.com/projectList.jsp To sign up for a cat care taking volunteer orientation (mandatory) - please go to our website at www.tailsct.org, click on Calendar and sign up for the next orientation at the Main Ave Petco store in Norwalk. Cat caretaking must be done during the store's hours (basically 9am-9pm, M-S, 9-6pm on Sun) and around what is considered "normal" feeding times. An orientation and filling out our volunteer application are mandatory. Please click on the link in this listing to fill out the volunteer application and we will email you back regarding orientations scheduled. All supplies are provided. For our calendar of orientations and to sign up - https://tailsct.z2systems.com/np/clients/tailsct/publicaccess/eventCalendarBig.jsp PLEASE PRE-FILL OUT OUR VOLUNTEER FORM HERE: https//tailsct.z2systems.com/projectlist.jsp We welcome responsible children as volunteers if accompanied by an adult and teens, based on successful completion of a probation period (and parental signature), can volunteer solo/pairs. Volunteers must be comfortable with the sights, sounds and smells of a trauma and emergency medicine environment and be kind, polite, diplomatic, helpful, and able to work independantly and with a team. The volunteer must be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, work in a fast paced environment, run errands, and feel comfortable working in an emergency room setting dealing with confidential information with great finesse. In addition to assisting patients and visitors, volunteers may be required to assist staff in the ED by helping restock comfort items such as blankets in blanket warmers, tidy up rooms, refresh supplies in patient rooms and fill supply carts as needed and other duties as requested by staff. This is a great opportunity for both college students and recent retirees.
