During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Show seniors that they are loved by making cards, sending emails, and making crafts.
Because of the Corona Virus, our volunteer visits to patients have been stopped. Also, our office has been restricted to a few workers. Seniors are sitting alone in their rooms without even being allowed visits from their families.
Here is where you come in. You can show them they are loved and appreciated by making them cards and sending emails. Brighten up their rooms with decorations, and give them comfort with wheel chair pillows. One volunteer is even making puzzles for them to do. Some are writing stories for them to read. We want to bring smiles to their faces.
We also have a need for people to make educational videos. Make videos and/or interesting interactive curriculum for volunteer training. I would like the volunteers to get their training online watching and interacting with something fun and engaging. After all, volunteering should be enjoyable!
Tech: Make assessments to go along with ongoing training that can be filled out online, and then printed and put into their folders.
Any project: Your choice!
Any hours you give will help a LOT!
Here is what the volunteers have been doing already: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Pbuhyknpy477iRYziNLz_8iczLsxhphvO3hjv-6JCmY/edit?usp=sharing
I hope you can join us!
