Kids Reading Program Event Coordinator

Have you ever been praised for putting together a work party or meeting, baby shower, or any other type of event? Then DYKB needs your help as their Kids Reading Program Event Coordinator! DYKB Kids Reading Program will have parents and kids read LIVE on our Facebook and Twitch social media platforms. The Event Coordinator will schedule parents' and kids' LIVE reading, ensuring the participants can go LIVE and manage LIVE reading recordings. Reading Program Administrator

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

This program aims to provide a platform for children to bring the stories they love to live. Kids will have an audience viewing them while reading live on stream. Our goal is to improve their speech and live performance skills while they build up the confidence to branch out into new and exciting challenges. Kids of all ages will have the chance to read a book of their choice LIVE*, including books aligning with the current educational curriculum and our mission. The one restriction we have is we DO NOT allow any books supporting any subject matter that goes against the teachings of Jesus Christ. If you can not support that, we understand there are many other organizations you can volunteer for. Each week, different LIVE sessions will focus on different ages and grade levels. After the reading, there will be 1-2 fun and interactive activities to bring the book to life and encourage critical thinking. Our goal is to livestream once a week, although due to scheduling conflicts, we understand that once a week may make to build up to. As the Program Administrator, you will have a team of 3 to 6 volunteers under you. Some volunteers may be high school students; therefore, you must submit identification verification to be considered for the position. Students also may inquire about letters of recommendation. Your Role and Main Responsibilities  Coordinate LIVE book readings and team meetings.  Host LIVE book readings and events once to twice a week. *Very Important*  Assist in scheduling parents and kids for every event.  Coordinate and prepare the children/parents with all the information needed.  Ensure the reader is equipped for the LIVE event and recording - including the technical side.  Manage recordings on the YouTube page.  Team up with the Activity Coordinator for each reading.  Attend and participate in our weekly team meetings on Sundays @ 5:30 PM PST

Kids Reading Program Social Media Assistant

Are you a social media guru? Do you love to interact and engage with your followers? DYKB needs your social media expertise! Create engaging and interactive posts with videos and graphics that are kid-friendly, fun, and inviting for kids and parents to join the DYKB Kids Reading Program. Posts will also provide updates on the reading program activities and events. The social media assistant will also create a log with participants' contact information responsive to social media posts to maintain contact and send information to keep them connected to DYKB. Small Business Owner (Vendor in California for 8+ Years, Record Label Owner)
Goals: To support the youth population in a way that advances their ability to affect the communities they are in. Not be a victim to the situations around them, but to grow together and share ideas, then put them into action. Ideas that have an organization behind them to help lift them up and lend support in the areas they need. To teach them how to overcome situations, how to research and develop a plan of action, and be a strong positive influence on others around them. Our overall goal is to grow strong young leaders that have the mindset to tackle the task at hand, talk a friend out of a bad choice, see someone’s vision and be willing to support it for the greater good. At the end of the day, greatness is only determined by service and we are here to serve.
