About Cancer Fit:
Cancer Fit is a nonprofit organization based in Thousand Oaks, CA, dedicated to serving pediatric cancer survivors and their families. Since our establishment in 2012, we have positively impacted the lives of over 500 families throughout Southern California. Our unique exercise and wellness programs provide much-needed support and empowerment to those affected by pediatric cancer.

Position Overview:
Cancer Fit is currently seeking an experienced Grant Writer to join our dedicated team of volunteers. As a Grant Writer, you will play a crucial role in securing funding for our organization's programs and initiatives. This is a virtual position, allowing you to contribute from the comfort of your own home.

Responsibilities:
- Research and identify grant opportunities suitable for Cancer Fit's mission and programs.
- Prepare and submit compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Cancer Fit team to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
- Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes.
- Cultivate relationships with potential funders and represent Cancer Fit professionally in all interactions.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong research skills to identify relevant grant opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with cancer-related organizations and pediatric cancer is a plus.
