50/50 Leadership is a volunteer-based nonprofit committed to empowering, educating, and inspiring women from all walks of life to become leaders in their careers and communities. We are looking for graphic artists to assist with the creation of content for our social media channels and other graphic needs. Tasks include: Designing visual concepts using graphic design tools like Canva & Illustrator Selecting colors, fonts, photographs, layouts and other design elements to communicate creative concepts Collaborating with marketing team to create media Adapting quickly to match our marketing brand Being reliable and willing to dedicate a minimum of 2 hours per week (as needed) to this organization. 50/50 Leadership's mission is to educate, inspire and promote women's leadership by providing programs that empower women in different circumstances and life stages. It was founded in 2004 and has accomplished much. We are almost entirely operated on volunteer-power, so need committed, energetic, social and passionate people to act as the trustees of the organization. Bring your success, experience, talent, time and passion to this already vibrant team of women and men. Currently, our focus is on providing programs that move women to financial independence so they are free to realize their leadership potential. The women we are currently serving have overcome trauma, hardships and victimization. For each position, we aim to have co-chairs to limit the burden and to provide smooth transitions. We have multiple opportunities available on the board and throughout the organization. What we ask: That you Can commit to being on the Board for a minimum of 2 years Be a member in good standing and donate at the minimum level of $1,000 per year Attend monthly board meetings - 3rd Monday of the month, 6:00 pm Pacific Attend annual (virtual) fundraising gala, and other events, if possible. Lead an area/committee and collaborate with other board members We have a 3-month trial where you and us can determine if it is a good fit. If it is, then it is a 2-year commitment. For succession planning, you will be asked to replace yourself/mentor your replacement. If you have read this far, then the process is: Let us know, and we will set up a call! Send us a bio, photo, CV, and statement of what you bring to the position and what you hope to accomplish. You will then attend a board meeting and be briefly interviewed by the board members. 50/50 Leadership was founded in 2004 to promote women’s equal leadership. Women are half the population; our vision is that they be half the leaders. We provide financial literacy programs for women who grew up in foster care, who have suffered from gender-based violence, have been incarcerated, or have been unhoused. We are in search of fundraising specialists and grant proposal writers to join our team and help with donor relations. If you have experience writing successful grants and fundraising for non-profits, we are ready to apply for more grants and follow up with past funders.
