Mission Statement

Econstructive Innovations Initiative is a Not for profit organisation whose mission is to enable Ugandans access clean and safe drinking water, improved sanitation facilities and environmentally responsible infrastructure, spearheading research on developing sustainable, affordable and locally available engineering and construction technologies and empowering youth by providing technical skills training in sustainable construction technologies.

Description

Econstructive Innovations is a not-for-profit that trains young people in Uganda in sustainable construction methods utilizing Interlocking Stabilized Soil Bricks; an environmentally sustainable technology, given the need for high-quality, affordable construction services in sub-Saharan Africa, can reduce the catastrophic impacts of deforestation and eradication of wetlands.

We are committed to the economic empowerment of young women and men from predominantly poor, rural communities by providing them knowledge and skills in affordable and durable construction methods to build and improve water and sanitation systems, as well as quality housing, schools, health facilities and other infrastructure projects.

We also focus on hands-on skills training including welding, tiling, terrazzo finishes, and painting.
