Facilitate International Services courses, primarily focusing in the RFL Caseworker course, but including the RFL Outreach workshop, Fundamental Principles or other available International Services courses Teach the RFL Casework Course at least once a year, supporting your region and if possible neighboring regions. Updating training records in learning management system Stay up-to-date on Restoring Family Links program updates through participation in International Services conference calls and by receiving program email updates. Qualifications: Willingness to comply with Red Cross COVID-19 policies for in-person volunteer activities. Be a qualified instructor in another Red Cross course or have successfully completed the Basic Instructor Fundamentals Course or Instructor Specialty Course (Required) Be certified as a Restoring Family Links instructor by RFL Master Instructor (Required) Have strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation and facilitation skills (Required) Be available to teach the RFL Instructor Course when needed (Required) Be willing to keep up-to-date on RFL program updates through participation in RFL conference calls and email updates (Required) Have experience with RFL work in some capacity (casework, casework supervision, outreach/promotion of RFL activities, training) (Preferred) Have experience managing training events and an instructor roster (Preferred) Trainings: Complete the RFL Instructor course facilitated by RFL Master Instructor, having previously completed the RFL Caseworker course or experience providing casework in your community. The purpose of the regional training lead is to oversee regional training including instructor management and class management for the region. This includes course offerings to develop and promote the disaster workforce. At least 8-10hrs a week commitment Works with regional Certified Instructors to offer live classes via Microsoft Teams Highly skilled in Computers, Excels, Power Point, Microsoft Teams Very detailed oriented, manages others well, promotes talent, and willing to create and promote a team of Basic and Advanced Instructors Manages Microsoft Teams events and live training events Good in teaching others, and public speaking skills preferred. The purpose of this position is to be on-call to provide Disaster Mental Health services to clients and community in support of an emergency evacuation shelter, or on a Disaster Action Team (DAT) event such as a house fire in case of injuries or fatalities. Key Responsibilities: The Disaster Mental Health Responder for Lanai will ensure: Disaster Mental Health services are provided to clients, Red Cross responders and the community throughout Lanai effected by a disaster event. Support and collaborate with other disaster functions before, during and after a disaster by acting as a subject matter expert. Help clients find resources to meet future mental health needs resulting from the event. Perform client casework, as needed Qualifications Must hold any level license or registration as a social worker, psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychiatrist (including non-clinical licenses such as Licensed Masters Social Worker or LMSW) May be a retired mental health professional who: Meet the educational criteria for their specific profession; Held a license (any level license) from any U.S. state or territory as a social worker, psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, psychiatric nurse or psychiatrist, or a certificate as a school psychologist or school counselor, within the 5 years prior to on-boarding as a Disaster Mental Health Shelter Worker; and Maintained a license or certification in good standing upon retirement and without any disciplinary action taken by the issuing U.S. state or territory licensing or certification board. Ability to be part of a team demonstrating traits of honesty, forward looking, competence, intelligence and compassion. The Disaster Mental Health Shelter Worker understands how they fit into the larger DCS and Sheltering structure and how their actions can positively influence and support the DCS Program.

This position supports the Regional Service to the Armed Forces department. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. This is a community-based assignment where the volunteer will utilize a quiet, private area to provide weekly virtual conversations (using phone, tablet, computer) with homebound Veterans or inpatients who are seeking to make a connection outside of their current environment and/or to provide support and communication to the Veteran’s caregiver. Volunteers will be trained and matched with veterans for 1:1 socialization. These are friendly visits with no medical or home-care duties.
