Every program we offer is built with the support of survivors and is tailored to provide a source of lifelong support to them and their families as they recover from the trauma of domestic violence. Our name speaks for itself. We encourage survivors and the community alike to speak out against abuse, inspiring millions to champion this cause alongside us. At the core of BTSADV are families working together to end domestic violence. On a typical day, there are more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide. On our Facebook Channel, approximately 93% of survivors stated they feel more comfortable working with a domestic violence advocate or educator who has been personally affected by abuse. All of our Board Members and most of our volunteers have personally experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse. As a Facebook Messenger Coordinator, you will represent the organization communicating with survivors and advocates through our Facebook’s Messenger. Duties & Responsibilities * must be able go navigate business suite and social pilot * Maintain and communicate with BTSADV’s audience through Facebook Messenger * Record and maintain a database of conversation topics * Provide updates and reports on critical topics * Oversee the social media messaging team * Attend Facebook and social media call every month * Maintain digital office hours * Reports to the Facebook Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator and the Director of Social Media Characteristics * Respect and maintain confidentiality * Tech savvy * Some legal knowledge * Flexibility to respond * Ability to think on your feet * Compassion * Computer/phone access * Sometimes a firm but understanding tone * Patience/Sensitivity * Team player * Communication

Our mission is to break the silence surrounding abuse and empower individuals, families, and communities to take action. Position Description: BTSADV is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our team as a Volunteer Social Media Content Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for using social media scheduling platforms, such as SocialPilot or similar tools, to plan and post engaging content on various platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Your efforts will contribute to spreading awareness, sharing resources, and fostering community engagement. Key Responsibilities: Develop and curate compelling content for social media platforms that aligns with BTSADV's mission and campaigns. Utilize social media scheduling platforms (e.g., SocialPilot) to plan and schedule posts across Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Monitor and engage with the online community, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement social media strategies that support our awareness initiatives. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of social media efforts. Qualifications: Familiarity with social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Experience using social media scheduling tools (e.g., SocialPilot, Buffer, Hootsuite). Strong communication skills and the ability to convey messages effectively through social media. Creativity and an understanding of current trends in social media. Commitment to the mission of BTSADV and raising awareness about domestic violence. Responsibilities: - Will design flyers and invitations for events, promotions, and awareness of BTSADV. - Will design Facebook banners and Twitter cover photos. - Develop graphics for BTSADV using consistent branding. - Employ color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques when designing project. - Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products. - Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
