ORGANIZATION: Break the Silence against Domestic Violence

BTS RETREAT

**MUST BE IN UNITED STATES OR CANADA****MUST FILL OUT ATTACHED APPLICATION

Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence (BTSADV) is a unique organization founded on Facebook as a key platform to connect survivors of abuse. Every program we offer is built with the support of survivors and is tailored to provide a source of lifelong support to them and their families as they recover from the trauma of domestic violence. Our name speaks for itself. We encourage survivors and the community alike to speak out against abuse, inspiring millions to champion this cause alongside us. At the core of BTSADV are families working together to end domestic violence.

On a typical day, there are more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide. On our Facebook Channel, approximately 93% of survivors stated they feel more comfortable working with a domestic violence advocate or educator who has been personally affected by abuse. All of our Board Members and most of our volunteers have personally experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse.

As a Facebook Messenger Coordinator, you will represent the organization communicating with survivors and advocates through our Facebook’s Messenger.
