Wellness Workshop Instructor

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

Volunteer instructors lead wellness classes. WCRC's wellness classes focus on body movement (must be certified), mindfulness, cooking & nutrition, creative expression, e.g., art-making, music, writing, crafts, etc. We can coordinate with you to develop a class if you have the passion, time and interest! Free Therapy Program Psychotherapist

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

Volunteer psychotherapists provide 12 clinical hours over a number of months. Both licensed and license-eligible interns in private practice volunteer 12 sessions to a low-income woman or couple who are living with cancer. As part of the program, you can choose to participate in an on-going consultation group. This network of like-minded clinicians has become a consistent and supportive presence for our volunteer therapists, as well as in the lives we touch in the cancer care community. The regular consultation groups provide a highly valued opportunity for reflection on the challenges of working with women, of living with cancer and of death and dying. BIPOC &/or LGBTQ psychotherapists, & those with bi/multi-lingual skills are strongly encouraged to apply.

Community Outreach

Work with WCRC's Outreach Committee to increase visibility of WCRC's programs and services and help advance its social justice mission of health equity and access. Volunteers with diverse sets of skills are needed. There will be many opportunities to contribute. For example: Creating and deploying marketing strategies for various programs/workshops/events; Managing a portfolio of community partners to share our services with on a regular basis; Assistance with publicity and distribution of outreach materials; Assistance with creating flyers and social media content; Helping to plan and execute an event with staff and other volunteers; Reproduction of flyers and other informational material; Other duties as assigned.

Help Desk

The Help Desk is an In-person-only volunteering opportunity. Answering phone, routing incoming calls, including fulfilling phone inquiries for information & referral requests to WCRC or community partner resources + any needed follow-up. On-site training provided. General office assistance (filing, mailings, computer & internet work, and organizational tasks) Reliability, punctuality and effective communication skills are essential for success in this position. Must have time for at least one of the shifts as listed. Bi/multi-lingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
