ORGANIZATION: Women's Cancer Resource Center

The Help Desk is an In-person-only volunteering opportunity.

Help Desk volunteers provide information and resource referrals to callers and visitors to the Women’s Cancer Resource Center. Volunteers will be trained in a variety of WCRC programs and how to identify resources offered locally and regionally.

  • Answering the WCRC phone and transferring calls and/or taking messages, screening callers for eligibility for WCRC services, conducting client intakes, fulfilling requests for information and resource referrals, logging calls;
  • Understanding of WCRC programs and services and the process for referring people to each program or service;
  • Supporting other WCRC programs and services, including collaborations with other organizations as needed.

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training

  • Who can volunteer at WCRC? Adults 18+ residents of the nine San Francisco-Bay Area counties, representing diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds, sexual orientations, abilities, and experiences to fill a variety of volunteer opportunities.
