Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Respecting the dignity and potential of each human person, Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans collaborates with the wider community to serve those in need. Impelled by the love and teaching of Jesus Christ, we offer life-giving programs, advocate for the voiceless, and empower the poor and vulnerable to foster a more just society.
Throughout our community, people from all walks of life need a hand from time to time. While some of us have a friendly face to turn to, many of us don't. That's where Catholic Charities comes in. The services of Catholic Charities are wide and varied, and each reach people of all faiths and backgrounds from the inception of life through its twilight.
Since 1938 Catholic Charities has been offering life-giving programs, advocates for the voiceless and empowers the most vulnerable to foster a more just society. Catholic Charities has over 42 programs and three affiliated ministries in the eight civil parishes of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Our programs engage and serve members of the community from pre-birth to the elderly but all of them fall under one of the following areas:
- children and families
- domestic violence
- education and young adults
- food and nutrition
- housing and homelessness
- hurricane recovery
- justice and employment
- physical and mental health
- pro-life services
- senior services
