The Momentum Center is a non-profit grassroots movement to create a stigma-free community. The Momentum Center for Social Engagement is a social and recreational program for people with mental illness, addictions, and developmental disabilities. MOO-Mentum Ice Cream Parlor is located within the Momentum Center and operates as a public ice cream parlor in order to provide a place for integration and to eliminate stigma in the community. Primary function is to serve ice cream, use a register to ring customers up for their purchases, and provide customer service to guests.

The volunteer would provide assistance to members during programming (cooking classes, yoga, exercise, social time, crafts, etc.). The volunteer may also provide assistance during outings in the community (out to lunch, bowling, parks, zoo, etc.). This volunteer position is at the Holland location.

The Momentum Center is looking for volunteers to teach classes throughout the month. These classes could include, but not limited to: cooking, basking, knitting, crocheting, social skills, life skills, exercise, stretching, yoga, crafts, bingo, games, etc. Prefer class to be ongoing (monthly, weekly, etc.).
