Partner with us to provide compassionate support for MultiCare Hospice patients and their loved ones in Kitsap County. Volunteers form an integral part of our hospice team, providing support wherever the patient lives. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and donate their time and talents in a variety of ways, such as: providing conversation and companionship, listening to a person's story, playing card games, making telephone calls, providing brief respite for caregivers, running errands, and more. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will provide you with the tools needed to volunteer in a positive, meaningful way. Regular hospice in-services offer educational experiences and opportunities to connect with fellow volunteers throughout the year. Do you like meeting lots of different types of people? Do you like a fast -paced environment? MultiCare Clinics have several opportunities for volunteers to greet patients and community members as they arrive for their appointments in the facilities. Volunteers are responsible for ensuring that health and safety measures are being adhered to when entering a MultiCare Facility. Duties include greeting patients and visitors, taking temperatures, passing out masks and ensuring use of hand sanitizer when entering the building. This position is highly visible, requiring discretion, good judgement, a pleasant and professional manner and can articulate clearly and exceptional customer service skills as well.
