This is for someone who likes to help people, assisting them with giving them medical equipment from our Lending Closet. No particular experience necessary but attention to details is required. Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County lends medical equipment not only to its hospice patients, but to anyone in the community, free of charge. We also receive donations of medical equipment and need to ensure they are clean and in good working condition before accepting them. We do not ask for any minimum commitment from our volunteers and understand vacation plans, travel plans, and the unexpected in people's lives. We provide on the job training appropriate to the position. Additionally, you can take an online Hospice Volunteer Training at no charge to familiarize yourself with hospice. We are almost entirely funded through the generosity of the community (in money, volunteer time and expertise) as we do not seek reimbursement from any government agency or insurance company.

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County (VHOCC) is looking for a massage therapist for its patients. Geriatric or hospice/home health experience preferred. Commitment varies according to requests (1 to 3 per month. Patients will be assigned to you depending on your location (Sequim or Port Angeles.)

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is a non-profit organization, whose service area stretches from Joyce to Diamond Point. We provide 24/7 nursing availability to our patients. Our respite volunteers offer respite to caregivers and families. Often it will be the only time during the week that the caregiver or family member can leave their loved one to run errands, attend to their own appointments, or simply get some rest & relaxation. Volunteers provide companionship to the patient while the caregiver is away. Training is provided through a self-paced online volunteer training. Additional training happens throughout the year during monthly In-Services. A minimum commitment is not required but appreciated. We match geographical location between patients and volunteers (Sequim or Port Angeles.)

Front Desk Reception: shifts are 3.5 hours each from 9 am to 12:30pm or from 12:30 pm to 4 pm, weekdays. There are 3 shifts available. You get to be in the hub of things, learn a lot about our hospice and our community, and meet a wide range of people. Responsibilities: Greet visitors, find out purpose of their visit. Answer and transfer phone calls. Help people who need to borrow medical equipment. Do additional clerical and filing tasks as desired. On the job training provided. Also, you are welcome to take a Hospice Volunteer Training online, free of charge to familiarize you with hospice.

VHOCC Board of Directors needs a Recording Secretary. This position is vital to the continuity and process of the Board, and you will learn while assisting. Meetings can be in person (in Port Angeles, WA) or via zoom. All meetings are recorded to assist with transcribing. Good listening skills Access to a computer to transcribe notes. Utmost confidentiality required. Previous experience in taking minutes or experience in secretarial support preferred. Can be in person or on zoom
