About

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County provides 24/7 nursing availability to terminally ill patients and their families, and also grief and bereavement support to the entire community of Port Angeles and Sequim.

We are looking for people experienced in either grief or bereavement support (one-on-one or group) or having worked in the field of social work or counseling. They will be responsible for providing specific and limited one-on-one support to members of the community who have lost a loved one, regardless of circumstances of the death. We match geographical location between clients and volunteers.

Volunteers will need to fill an application, pass a background check, and have an interview with the Volunteer Services Manager. Some training is available. Attending the Community Education & Volunteer Training and some of the monthly In-services will be recommended.
