Mission Statement
Helping our neighbors and surrounding communities survive financial crisis by providing short-term assistance
Description
Matthews HELP Center provides financial assistance and in kind donations to our neighbors in crisis. We helped over 14,000 people in 6 zip codes during the 2014/2015 fiscal year. We are a non-profit that relies on our community to be the helping hands and providers as we have never received any governmental funding since we began 36 years ago. Additionally we have Backporch Treasures Thrift Boutique open to the public that generates income that goes towards helping more families in crisis.
