Helping our neighbors and surrounding communities survive financial crisis by providing short-term assistance
Description
Matthews HELP Center provides financial assistance and in kind donations to our neighbors in crisis. We helped 17,877 people in 6 zip codes during the 2015/2016 fiscal year. We are a non-profit that relies on our community to be the helping hands and providers as we have never received any governmental funding since we began 38 years ago. Additionally we have Backporch Treasures Thrift Boutique open to the public that generates income that goes towards helping more families in crisis.
