Are you handy? Then we'd love to have you join our volunteer family! We are always in need of help with construction projects on the farm animal sanctuary. Some of these projects include roofing, fencing, habitat structures, coops, barn updates, painting, and more. In your response, please let us know your construction skills and experience. We hope you find Helpers Of Our Farm as your home for volunteering. Your inquiry of this volunteer spot adds you to our volunteer mailing list. You are welcome to unsubscribe at any time. As a volunteer of HOOF, you are subject to a background check.

Our next Art Gala Fundraiser is March 29, 2025! We ask that all submissions be recieved by March 21, 2025. Helpers Of Our Farm is looking for interesting and creative ways to raise money for animal care and expenses, and for funds to continue to grow our educational materials and space. We would love to have artist and crafters donate hand made works to HOOF for us to use in fundraising. Types of art: - farm/farm animal related works of art - t-shirt design/screen printed shirts with a HOOF related design (farm animals, tractors, farming tools, children w/animals, etc.) and the HOOF logo - recycled wine bottle/cork designs (we can supply the wine bottles and corks from our farm's events) - recycled art that is farm/farm animal related - handmade farm animals (pottery, sewing, crochet, etc.) - send us your ideas! This can be locally done (come and meet the animals to get ideas!) or long distance. We have lots of pictures on our website and facebook page for inspiration or we can send you more. This is an opportunity for people who love art of all ages. We can't wait to hear from you! All art projects must be approved by our staff. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with HOOF! Many of the jobs that come with this volunteer spot are not glamorous and can be dirty and grueling (cleaning habitats, collecting manure, cleaning workspaces, building/construction, maintenance, etc.) but these jobs are very important to the health and safety of our animals. HOOF works closely with Greenlands Farm, the bona fide farm where HOOF is located, in educating about animal and environmental science, animal welfare, and sustainable practices. Some of the projects you will be helping with are in benefit of Greenlands Farm. Helpers Of Our Farm is a small nonprofit with not enough income to support the animals and programs and HOOF depends greatly on the donations from Greenlands Farm to continue. Your help with Greenlands Farm, in turn, helps keep HOOF going!

We could use your help caring for our animals: horse, pony, goat, llama, pigs, rabbits, ducks, turkeys, and chickens. Morning feeding time is between 8 and 9 and evening feeding is between 4 and 6. If you miss being around animals and love caring for them, here's your chance! This volunteer position is not a learning position, you must have experience with equines.
