Accentcare Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking compassionate, creative, and artistic folks to join our Legacy volunteer team. Volunteers will facilitate legacy projects, which are tangible items and memories created to validate a life and to assist the bereaved with maintaining a comforting connection to lost loved ones. A popular legacy project is to capture the voice of a loved one in a recordable story book. For children and adults, hearing the voice of someone you miss reading you a story, or saying "I love you" can be a powerful way to bring solace to those who are grieving. Other projects can include creating a hallmark style storybook, a documentary, autobiography, or a family recipe book. Many legacy projects are passed down to children and grandchildren preserving memories for generations. The Seasons Hospice Foundation will allocate an average of two hundred and fifty dollars to cover the cost of legacy projects. Join us in extending beyond the borders of traditional healthcare, by treating the whole person and their loved ones in ways that touch the human spirit- adding days to the life and life to the days. We welcome your creative insight and initiative in regards to this process. Please be in touch for more information.
