Looking to be part of a fun and inspiring committee? Community Health Center is recruiting members for our 24th Annual Golf Tournament Committee! This committee of dedicated CHC supporters helps us put on a wonderful tournament each fall, all while supporting a great mission: providing access to equitable, patient-centered, high-quality healthcare for all, regardless of ability to pay. We are looking to add members to the committee to help make the event bigger and better in 2024. We have a fun committee that helps us plan the event and recruit golfers and sponsors - raising money to provide access to care for those who need it most. We typically hold committee meetings monthly leading up to the event. We alternate between calls and in-person meetings, and typically hold them once a month, in the morning. This is a great committee that helps us plan and shape events, such as a 5K run, an online auction, donor cultivation parties and more. The group has morning meetings at the Health Center in Mashpee approximately once a month, with options to call in as well if you can't make a meeting. Community Health Center Advancement Office Internship/Volunteer Opportunity The mission of Community Health Center is to improve the health of our community through the provision of comprehensive, high-quality, compassionate health care to all, regardless of ability to pay. In 1998, the Health Center was founded as the Falmouth Free Clinic, an all-volunteer clinic caring for uninsured adults. Services were provided by volunteer physicians, nurses, counselors and lay people. The organization has evolved since then in response to the community's need for affordable, high quality, comprehensive services. Community Health Center provides care to more than 25,000 individuals within a "complete medical home" model, where multidisciplinary, integrated health services are provided under one roof to assist patients in overcoming transportation, affordability, financial, linguistic, cultural and other barriers to care. Community Health Center is seeking an Advancement Office Intern to help us achieve our mission by supporting communications, event planning, and marketing for our upcoming events and general fundraising. This opportunity will be offered remotely, with occasional in-person meetings/tasks if location allows. Job responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to: Help Advancement team with marketing for fundraising events Support foundation research efforts Explore third-party fundraising ideas Research possible education and outreach events and contacts Solicit auction item/raffle donations Assist in database entry Online research and social media Support additional general Advancement activities Support other CHC initiatives and offices, as needed EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Interest and familiarity with Social Media Applications/ Marketing/ Data Entry and Nonprofit Fundraising. Must be motivated, reliable, and independent with good time-management and communications skills. 12-20 hours per week based on availability. Hours can be flexible based on interest and availability.
