CHC of Cape Cod Advancement Office Internship/Volunteer Opportunity
The mission of Community Health Center of Cape Cod is to improve the health of our community through the provision of comprehensive, high-quality, compassionate health care to all, regardless of ability to pay. In 1998, the Health Center was founded as the Falmouth Free Clinic, an all-volunteer clinic caring for uninsured adults. Services were provided by volunteer physicians, nurses, counselors and lay people. The organization has evolved since then in response to the community's need for affordable, high quality, comprehensive services. The Health Center provides care to nearly 15,000 individuals within a "complete medical home" model, where multidisciplinary, integrated health services are provided under one roof to assist patients in overcoming transportation, affordability, financial, linguistic, cultural and other barriers to care.
