VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION IMPACTability seeks a technologist and systematic IT Manager and Web Master to join our all-volunteer team. As an IT Manager and Web Master, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the organization’s IT application including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook Emails, Sharepoint, Organizations website. This candidate will be responsible for assigning new outlook emails to volunteers, updating organization website hosted on Flipcause and making recommendations for improving the organization’s technology stack. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide support for Microsoft outlook emails including user access and entitlements. Updating organization website hosted on Flipcause. Creating/Modifying campaigns on Flipcause Supporting the Learning Management System MyQuest. Establish IT policies and processes to support all IMPACTability Seek ways in which to improve the efficiency of IMPACTability IT Systems (including both process and cost). Contribute to IMPACTability Budget discussions. QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience as IT/Systems Manager and Web Master or similar. A working knowledge of IT operating systems, particularly Windows and Microsoft Outlook Hands on experience of installing IT hardware and software Experience in implementing new IT platforms in small but rapidly growing environments. VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION The Event Planner is a New York Metro Area based volunteer position in IMPACTability and is responsible for the oversight and successful coordination of our Disability Advocacy & Career Summit. This hybrid event at a corporate space in lower Manhattan, NY is scheduled for October 18, 2024. The Event Planner reports to the President and Summit Committee, works in coordination with the Project Manager, and supports our Development and Education teams. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with leading pre-event virtual committee meetings to ensure effective decision making. Plan and facilitate logistics, including registration list, venue preparation, reasonable accommodations, security requirements, catering, decor, and marketing materials. Manage on-site preparations and event breakdown. Troubleshoot any issues that arise on event day. QUALIFICATIONS Proven success in event management or hospitality. Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail. Ability to handle pressure and apply problem-solving skills, work as part of a team, and to schedule and efficiently carry out activities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word, and experience in Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint preferred but not required. This hybrid event in Manhattan, NY is scheduled for October 18, 2024. The Project Manager reports to the President and Summit Committee and supports our Development and Education teams. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to the development of Project plans and timeline (strategic, implementation or otherwise). Track and manage Project progress against plans. Contribute in the coordination and administration of Project related tasks. Contribute in the development of documentation. Anticipate and manage risks to the Project. Coordinate and attend internal virtual Project Management status meetings. Seek ways in which to improve the efficiency of the Project (process, cost, and post project debrief). Contribute to Budget discussions. QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience in a program / project manager role or similar experience. Experience tracking and managing project plans. Experience using a project management tool or Excel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word, and experience in Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint preferred but not required. Volunteer Position description: Help us to make the greatest impact for college students with disabilities. Collaborate and mentor the CareerReady! program. IMPACTability's CareerReady! Mentor works collaboratively and in conjunction with the CareerReady! Program Chair, VP of Education, host college, and their designates to ensure and enhance the organizational excellence of the program. The Mentor is paired with a protege of similar professional interest. The Mentor will: · Maintain contact with protege throughout the course of the CareerReady! program. · Spend time weekly week engaged in a mutually agreed-upon activity and or conversation with protege. · Organizing communications and help protege follow through standards for accountability and measurements of success related to resume building and interview strategies. · Maintain an organizational commitment that aligns to the mission, vision, values, and strategic vision of IMPACTability. Responsibilities: · Maintain full knowledge of all curriculum activities of their protégés. · Be able to commit to spending one year in a relationship with a student. · Spend at least 6-8 hours a month engaged in a mutually agreed-upon activity with their protégés. · Communicate with protégé weekly. · Honor all commitments made to the protégé and IMPACTability mentoring programs. · Be comfortable and able to establish appropriate boundaries with the protege and his or her family. · Help the protégé develop a milestone plan. · Check-in with IMPACTability Mentoring Chair or/and Co-Chair weekly. · Communicate effectively and professionally with other instructors, support staff and IMPACTability leadership. · Report any problematic issues as soon as they arise. · Pass a criminal background check. · Exhibit a genuine concern for Students with Disabilities. NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS · Has two years of recent, related work experience in the occupational area. · Attend IMPACTability Mentors’ training and Disability Etiquette training. · Pass a background check. · Provide two references. · This is a 2-year volunteer commitment.
