IMPACTability seeks a highly motivated Vice President of Development to join our all-volunteer team. This volunteer Board position works collaboratively to create, oversee, and implement a strategic approach to fundraising. This role provides leadership for fundraising initiatives and combines excellent communication and organizational skills with a passion for the organization’s mission. IMPACTability’s mission is to fight for equal access to employment opportunities for college students with disabilities. We empower students to break through workforce barriers and open doors with our career readiness and mentoring program. VP Development Responsibilities include: Plan fund development activities Execute a realistic strategic action plan to increase revenue and ensure sustainability. Set realistic revenue projections and an expenditure budget for fundraising annually. Review policies and procedures for fund development and stewardship in coordination with the Governance VP. Organize fund development activities Help identify and prioritize corporate, community and individual potential donors for Board of Directors outreach. Assist with effective internal and external communications to approach funders and donors. Oversee an automated donor database which respects the privacy and confidentiality of donor information. In coordination with the Treasurer, use automated donor reports to provide regular updates on fundraising progress. Build relationships Cultivate relationships with foundations, grantors, sponsors, and donors whose missions align with our own. Create relationships with stakeholders to advance the organization’s mission and fundraising goals. These communities include first-generation college students, career services, alumni, business leaders, and public and private colleges. Inspire, train, and motivate Board members and volunteers. Online Campaigns and Events Oversee the planning and execution of annual online campaigns and special fundraising events. Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and adjust strategies as necessary. Grants Coordinate with the Grants support team to prioritize grant opportunities and partnerships. Assist with the preparation and submittal of grant applications as needed. Volunteer Board Position Details Term: Two (2) Years Time Commitment: Minimum of 10-20 mostly virtual hours per month, including some evenings. Attend virtual Board weeknight meetings. Volunteer Position description: Help us to make the greatest impact for first-generation college students. Collaborate and mentor the CareerReady! program. IMPACTability's CareerReady! Mentor works collaboratively and in conjunction with the CareerReady! Program Chair, VP of Education, host college, and their designates to ensure and enhance the organizational excellence of the program. The Mentor is paired with a protege of similar professional interest. The Mentor will: · Maintain contact with protege throughout the course of the CareerReady! program. · Spend time weekly week engaged in a mutually agreed-upon activity and or conversation with protege. · Organizing communications and help protege follow through standards for accountability and measurements of success related to resume building and interview strategies. · Maintain an organizational commitment that aligns to the mission, vision, values, and strategic vision of IMPACTability. Responsibilities: · Maintain full knowledge of all curriculum activities of their protégés. · Be able to commit to spending one year in a relationship with a student. · Spend at least 6-8 hours a month engaged in a mutually agreed-upon activity with their protégés. · Communicate with protégé weekly. · Honor all commitments made to the protégé and IMPACTability mentoring programs. · Be comfortable and able to establish appropriate boundaries with the protege and his or her family. · Help the protégé develop a milestone plan. · Check-in with IMPACTability Mentoring Chair or/and Co-Chair weekly. · Communicate effectively and professionally with other instructors, support staff and IMPACTability leadership. · Report any problematic issues as soon as they arise. · Pass a criminal background check. · Exhibit a genuine concern for First-Generation College Students and Students with Disabilities. NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS · Master’s degree preferred but not required. · Has two years of recent, related work experience in the occupational area. · Attend IMPACTability Mentors’ training and Disability Etiquette training. · Pass a background check. · Provide two references. · This is a 2-year volunteer commitment. This volunteer position is responsible for writing proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted program projects. RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED FOR THIS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: GRANT MANAGEMENT Responsible for preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. Possess broad knowledge of organizational structure, functions and needs Possess essential knowledge of a grant application process Ability to incorporate accurate and pertinent information in the proposal or application Interfacing and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization Work with finance and program chairs to gather information necessary to complete proposals. Understand the organization’s history and programs; assist with developing a compelling case statement. Review logic models, and grants strategy worksheets. Maintain current records in spreadsheet and a secure cloud location, including grant tracking and reporting. Write or supervise writing of all proposals, budgets, reports, and other ancillary materials. Track grants and deadlines by developing an internal grant proposal calendar and reporting spreadsheet. Develop and foster relationships with funders. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals. VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Social Media Manager is a volunteer position with Image Impact International and is responsible for day -to -day social media activities. The most important part of this volunteer opportunity is that the candidate must have demonstrated and extensive social media experience. Additionally, the candidate is actively participating in a wide variety of social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, community development, and management, and is well-connected with the broader social media world. The second important part is that the candidate must be able to think strategically and is willing and able to help implement social media programs. The candidate will work closely with VP Marketing. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Create a comprehensive social media strategy to define programs that increase visibility, membership, and interaction. Implement and manage social media channels and associated programs. Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities ("marketing R&D"). Develop a social media calendar and manage day-to-day social media postings. Implement a rotating Social Media editorial calendar of themes relevant to the first-generation college student community. Update weekly postings directly and recruit contributors to ensure Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter stay current. Assist with annual Global Civility Awareness Month (31 Days of Civility) Social Media campaign each May. Collaborates with board members, committee members and volunteers as needed.
