Image Impact International seeks a highly motivated Vice President of Development to join our all-volunteer team. This volunteer Board position works collaboratively to create, oversee, and implement a strategic approach to fundraising. This role provides leadership for fundraising initiatives and combines excellent communication and organizational skills with a passion for the organization’s mission. Image Impact International’s mission is to mentor first-generation college students to remain in college. Our programs get first-generation students across the finish line to graduation. VP Development Responsibilities include: Plan fund development activities Execute a realistic strategic action plan to increase revenue and ensure sustainability. Set realistic revenue projections and an expenditure budget for fundraising annually. Review policies and procedures for fund development and stewardship in coordination with the Governance Chair. Organize fund development activities Help identify and prioritize corporate, community and individual potential donors for Board of Directors outreach. Assist with effective internal and external communications to approach funders and donors. Oversee an automated donor database which respects the privacy and confidentiality of donor information. In coordination with the Treasurer, use automated donor reports to provide regular updates on fundraising progress. Build relationships Cultivate relationships with foundations, grantors, sponsors, and donors whose missions align with our own. Create relationships with stakeholders to advance the organization’s mission and fundraising goals. These communities include first-generation college students, career services, alumni, business leaders, and public and private colleges. Inspire, train, and motivate Board members and volunteers. Online Campaigns and Events Oversee the planning and execution of annual online campaigns and special fundraising events. Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and adjust strategies as necessary. Grants Coordinate with the Grants support team to prioritize grant opportunities and partnerships. Assist with the preparation and submittal of grant applications as needed. Volunteer Board Position Details Term: Two (2) Years Time Commitment: Minimum of 10-20 mostly virtual hours per month, including some evenings. Attend virtual Board weeknight meetings. Participate in regular team meetings. Image Impact International seeks a highly motivated Vice President of Marketing & Communication to join our all-volunteer team. This volunteer Board position serves as a subject matter expert in marketing, communications, and branding. The first responsibility of this position is to develop a comprehensive strategic marketing and branding plan for Image Impact International, working closely with the President and Board of Directors. A second priority is to manage communications activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organization's brand reputation, which includes managing the website, email communication, social media, and creation of flyers and materials. Importantly, the role must also work together with the VP Development to create communication and branding materials to be used in Development. This role will also provide points of view on marketing strategies during virtual monthly Board meetings. VP Marketing & Communications Key Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy, Vision and Leadership Develop and implement annual strategic marketing plan to advance Image Impact International’s mission and brand identity; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences. In so doing, set achievable short- and long-term goals. Consider and develop strategic partnerships that can help Image Impact achieve its strategic goals. Develops and oversees annual marketing budget in coordination with the Treasurer. Ensures timely and effective execution of marketing campaigns. Prepares presentations to the Board and Volunteers to explain marketing strategies and results as needed. Recruit and manage a marketing & communications team to support the development and execution of marketing strategies. Communications Conveys information to Image Impact International internal and external stakeholders and builds awareness for the organization across global communities. This is achieved through regular e-newsletters, press releases, articles, and/or website updates. Provide Image Impact International leadership to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences and key influencers. Create a compelling story for the org through the voice of the students, mentors and volunteers. Branding Collaborate with Image Impact President and Board of Directors to provide new direction on messaging: Vision, Mission, Values, and Taglines. Ensure consistent brand messaging, clarity, and cohesiveness across print materials, websites, social media, blogs, and all other messaging. Understand who our target is (students with disabilities) and lead the education/training of III Board and Volunteers about challenges, opportunities, and leaders within the target communities. Competitive Analysis Periodically, conduct online research to identify new competitors who are in students with disabilities space and help us to define our unique selling proposition. Use the findings to craft compelling messaging for social media, website content, blog, and podcast outreach. Non-Profit Trends Explore the latest marketing and communication trends that can impact Non-profits and make strategic recommendations to the Board BOARD OF DIRECTORS TERM: Term: Two Years Direct Reports: This role will have a direct reports, as needed Time Commitment: Minimum of 20-30 mostly virtual hours per month, including some evenings. This volunteer Board position works collaboratively to create, oversee, and implement best practices to manage our diverse Non-profit volunteer community. This leadership role combines organizational, writing, and people skills with a passion for the organization’s mission. The VP Human Resources (VP HR) oversees and makes recommendations regarding Board self-assessment, recruitment, nominations, elections, professional development, and volunteer engagement. The VP HR is responsible for overseeing and making recommendations to the Board with regard to: Board Self-Assessment and Evaluation Make recommendations to the Board regarding feedback on annual board leadership performance, its committees and the executive committee. Board and Volunteer Recruitment, Nomination, and Election Make recommendations to the Board regarding the board nomination and onboarding process in accordance with the organization’s by-laws. Board Development Develop and provide recommendations to the Board regarding Board member education, including new Board member orientation, regular Board member training, team building, transition training, and assessments for professional development. All training options will be pre-approved by the Board and may include Non-profit training resources. Volunteer Engagement and Outreach Work regularly with the HR Recruiter and Administrator to identify volunteer needs, develop position descriptions, conduct outreach, and actively recruit volunteers. Develop and implement a new volunteer orientation program. Develop and implement a board approved volunteer recognition program. Volunteer Board Position Details: Time Commitment: 4 virtual hours per week, including some evenings. Attend monthly virtual Board weeknight meeting. Must be willing to provide two references.
