Overview: Our Events Intern will gain event management and communication skills through the planning and implementation of our 4th annual Trivia For Life event on September 30th, 2022. They will also have the opportunity to exercise their creativity in the development of marketing and promotional materials, as well through social media management and website. This internship is a great opportunity to increase experience and improve an array of skills! This position can start as soon as possible and is expected to extend until at least September 30th, 2022- the day of the event. Responsibilities: Implement and lead event planning initiatives. Act as a liaison between the organization and vendors. Secure in-kind donation items and conduct outreach to potential event attendees. Develop and coordinate marketing and promotional materials. Coordinate event logistics and volunteers. Manage outreach publications. Complete other duties as needed. Qualifications: Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space; Event planning and development experience preferred, but not required; Completed or working toward a college degree; Ability to communicate in a professional manner with others; Self-motivated, good organizational and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines; Passion and enthusiasm for the mission of the American Transplant Foundation. Status: This is a part-time internship and it is preferred that the intern works in the office a minimum of twice per week. The American Transplant Foundation is hosting one of our largest fundraising events, Trivia For Life on Friday, September 30th! We are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic volunteers to assist us for this super-fun event. We are looking for the following roles on Friday, September 30 th: 3:00pm-6:00pm: Set Up 5:00pm-10:15 pm: Registration/Check In, Parking Lot Assistants (to direct people), Table Attendants, Trivia Assistants, Event Assistants, Personal Assistants, & Break down/clean up Set Up: Table placement, décor, etc. Welcome Crew: Parking lots assistants (directing people), Greeting guests, ensuring they have name tags, directing to event space. Table Attendants: Bring drinks to guests as they play trivia, answer any questions, etc. Games: assist with various games during the event/reception Bead Sales: sell beads! So people can play fun games. We process all the payments - you just record guests’ registration numbers. Trivia Assistance: work with Team Captains to help them enter trivia answers (training provided) Event Assistance: Helping ATF Staff with overall event tasks (ensuring guests are comfortable, silent auction supervision, buying game tickets, etc.) Personal Assistants: you will be assigned to our key event staff Break Down & Clean-Up: Ensuring all ATF items are collected at the end of the evening (need to stay till 10:30 p.m. - no heavy lifting/work needed) Event Details: -Friday, September 30, 2022 6:00pm -10:15 p.m. -DaVita Sky Lounge (2000 16 th Street, Denver, CO 80202) -parking is available onsite for $5 - reimbursement is available All volunteers who stay for at least 4 hours will have a chance to win one of the two $150 Amazon gift cards!
