Enjoy some fresh air and sunshine while helping older adults maintain "curb appeal" and keep their homes and property safe! Help with: Yard and garden clean-up, weeding Exterior maintenance and painting projects We have opportunities for individuals and groups. Youth ages 7 - 15 may volunteer with an adult; ages 16 and over may volunteer on their own. We welcome groups of all sizes, from two to 100: Community groups (Lions, Rotary, American Legion, and others) Schools (grade school to college/university level) Families and neighborhood groups Scout troops & youth groups Corporations/businesses Faith communities We serve multiple cities in Hennepin, Wright, and Sherburne Counties. Share the day(s), time(s), and location(s) that work for you, and we’ll connect you with one (or more!) of our participants. Volunteers are also needed to provide ongoing, seasonal lawn mowing and weed trimming. The main role is to provide technology support and education to adults aged 60 and older. Duties and responsibilities: *Schedule and coordinate service jobs *Tasks include, but are not limited to device troubleshooting focused on smart phones, PCs, tablets/visual equipment and other technical devices. *Diagnose access and device needs and discuss options with participants *Provide expertise on various software applications and programs *This position involves daytime availability to manage tech "clinics" in Brooklyn Park and Shakopee. *Spanish speaking is a plus.

Enjoy some fresh air and sunshine while helping older adults keep their lawn looking great! This service also provides social interaction and offers peace of mind for loved ones and caregivers. Sign up early! We always try to pair volunteers with a senior (or seniors) in their own community. This is a seasonal commitment (generally May - November) and volunteers are expected to mow the lawn every 7-10 days (depending upon weather conditions), including basic trimming as needed. You must be: At least 16 years old Physically able to do the work (lift 20+ pounds, bend, stretch, etc.) Able to provide and transport your own equipment (lawnmower and weed trimmer)!
