Help Seniors with Outdoor Chores

Help seniors stay safe in their homes by volunteering help with spring clean-up, summer lawn mowing, gardening, weeding, minor home repairs, painting projects and technology support. Youth ages 7 - 15 are welcome to volunteer if accompanied by an adult; ages 16 and over may volunteer on their own.

We have flexible opportunities for individuals and groups. Just choose the day, time, and location that work best for you!

We rely on volunteers to make this program successful! Last year, 1,395 volunteers dedicated 4,967 hours to the Senior Community Services HOME program, helping more than 1,300 seniors remain in their homes. The HOME program offers affordable chore services to Minnesotans age 60+, regardless of income, residing in our service area. Our home chore services cover the cities of: Albertville, Big Lake, Bloomington, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Buffalo, Champlin, Crystal, Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Edina, Elk River, Excelsior, Golden Valley, Greenwood, Hanover, Hopkins, Long Lake, Maple Grove, Medicine Lake, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Minnetonka Beach, Monticello, Mound, New Hope, Orono, Osseo, Otsego, Plymouth, Richfield, Robbinsdale, Rockford, Rogers, Shorewood, Spring Park, St. Michael, St. Louis Park, Tonka Bay, Wayzata, and Woodland.

The HOME Program provides affordable home maintenance and chore services to help seniors continue to live independently in their own homes. Description

Senior Outreach - provides in-home counseling and case management to frail elders and their families to help older adults remain independent. ; Senior Community Centers - offer a variety of programs and services for the older adult; HOME Program - provides affordable homemaking, home maintenance and chore services that help seniors continue to live independently in their homes.; Senior Partners Care - benefits those Medicare beneficiaries who cannot afford supplemental insurance and have difficulty paying their share of the medical expense after Medicare has made payment.; and, CareNextion - is a free web-based program for family member and seniors to coordinate a care team and find local resources.
