ORGANIZATION: Senior Community Services

Logo 2020

Enjoy some fresh air and sunshine while helping older adults keep their lawn looking great! This service also provides social interaction and offers peace of mind for loved ones and caregivers.

This is a seasonal commitment (generally May - November) and volunteers are expected to mow the lawn every 7-10 days (depending upon weather conditions), including basic trimming as needed.

You must be:

  • At least 16 years old
  • Physically able to do the work (lift 20+ pounds, bend, stretch, etc.)
  • Able to provide and transport your own equipment (lawnmower and weed trimmer)!

We serve multiple cities in Hennepin County, and our highest need is currently in Minneapolis and Robbinsdale.

Contact us or visit seniorcommunity.org/volunteer to complete an online application.
