Mission Statement

Sound Generations connects seniors and adults with disabilities with vital resources in their communities. We provide them with meals, drive them to essential services, ease their loneliness and alleviate caregiver stress. We are committed to helping people thrive and feel included and respected.

Description

Sound Generations, the largest non-profit serving seniors in Washington, offers the following services: Nutrition (Congregate Meals, Meals on Wheels, Mobile Market); Caregiver Outreach & Support; Adult Day Health Centers; Minor Home Repair; Senior Rights Assistance; Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA); Transportation for Seniors; Pathways Information and Assistance; African American Outreach. Additionally, we have affiliated senior centers in the Central District, Southeast Seattle, Ballard, Shoreline, Bothell, Carnation and West Seattle.

Sound Generations service area: King County, WA. Founded: 1967.

Our services, and volunteer opportunities, are located at multiple sites throughout King County.

Every experience I've had with Senior Services has been a positive one. The organization is committed to the seniors in so many ways, and being part of that commitment means so much. Everyone is friendly and truly grateful for your help. I am currently looking to expand my volunteering commitment because I love it so much!
