Novant Health Hospice is seeking bilingual volunteers for patient and caregiver support visits! Our patient population includes many patients who do not speak English as their primary language. Bilingual volunteers can provide the companionship and conversation that our patients and caregivers need, and allow caregivers to leave the home to run errands, or attend other needs. This is such an important level of support for our families, and we are in great need of your support! Our greatest demand is for volunteers who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese and English, but we are open to all applicants! Apply today at the link below! https://www.novanthealth.org/home/services/hospice/hospice-volunteer-opportunities.aspx **Please note: the Flu vaccine is required by Novant Health in order to volunteer at this time. Religious or medical exemption forms may be submitted if applicable**

Make a difference in the lives of our terminally ill patients by assisting with pet care needs and placement! Our pets are members of our family - that is a fact. And one of the most emotionally difficult problems for some of our patients is to not be able to care for their pets as they get more sick, and wondering what will happen to their pets when they are no longer here. To fill this need, Novant Health Hospice has partnered with Pet Peace of Mind, a nation-wide program dedicated to the service of caring for and rehoming pets for people who are seriously ill. Through this program, we are working with local veterinarians, foster homes, and adoption agencies to ensure that pets continue to receive the love and care that they deserve. As a volunteer in this program, you will have the opportunity to help with current patient pet care needs, including: - grooming - walking - litter box care (for cats) - transportation to and from vet appointments - foster pets until a new home is identified - assist with pet adoption/rehoming If you are interested in joining this amazing program, please reach out to Novant Health Hospice Volunteer Services Coordinator, Cass Canton, at cassandra.staley@novanthealth.org We are thrilled to partner with such an amazing organization!
