Novant Health Hospice is seeking bilingual volunteers for patient and caregiver support visits!
Our patient population includes many patients who do not speak English as their primary language. Bilingual volunteers can provide the companionship and conversation that our patients and caregivers need, and allow caregivers to leave the home to run errands, or attend other needs. This is such an important level of support for our families, and we are in great need of your support!
Our greatest demand is for volunteers who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese and English, but we are open to all applicants!

Mission Statement

Description
Providing care for a loved one who is sick and can no longer look after themselves can be one of the biggest challenges a family has to face. These conditions can arise from old age, severe illness or crippling injuries, but regardless of the cause, we believe that no family should have to face these challenges alone.
Our hospice services provide a wide range of services and care-giving that can help patients and their loved ones when it is needed the most. Comfort, compassion and dignity are at the forefront of the care we provide.
Our hospice care specialists provide care for terminally ill patients and their families. We know how sensitive these times may be, and our goal is to provide patients and their families with effective healthcare that will improve the quality of a patient’s last days.
We provide an individualized treatment plan to comfortably manage pain and physical symptoms of each need a patient may have. Our team is made of doctors, nurses, medical social workers, chaplains, grief counselors, and volunteers that work together to help patients live life as comfortably and fulfilled as possible.
