The Novant Health Hospice team is looking for compassionate individuals to help the families and caregivers of patients who have passed away under our care.
Our goal at Novant Health is to make sure that we continue to provide remarkable care, even after loved ones have passed away. As a Bereavement Team member, you will call assigned caregivers to assess for counseling needs and submit referral forms to our bereavement counselors. We are dedicated to making sure every caregiver receives the reassurance that we are always here for them.
One-on-one training is provided by the Volunteer Services Coordinator and Bereavement Counselors.

Mission Statement
We the employees and physician partners will deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.
Description
Providing care for a loved one who is sick and can no longer look after themselves can be one of the biggest challenges a family has to face. These conditions can arise from old age, severe illness or crippling injuries, but regardless of the cause, we believe that no family should have to face these challenges alone.
Our hospice services provide a wide range of services and care-giving that can help patients and their loved ones when it is needed the most. Comfort, compassion and dignity are at the forefront of the care we provide.
Our hospice care specialists provide care for terminally ill patients and their families. We know how sensitive these times may be, and our goal is to provide patients and their families with effective healthcare that will improve the quality of a patient’s last days.
We provide an individualized treatment plan to comfortably manage pain and physical symptoms of each need a patient may have. Our team is made of doctors, nurses, medical social workers, chaplains, grief counselors, and volunteers that work together to help patients live life as comfortably and fulfilled as possible.
