Donation Pickup Driver Initiative: Beyond the Basics Impact area: Basic Needs (food, clothing, housing) Location(s): Wallingford, CT Hours: Fridays, 12:00-2:00pm or 3:00-6:00pm Desired level of commitment: Once per week Duration: Year-round Age requirement: 18+ Tasks may include: Picking up a large donation of food from Manchester or Vernon Dropping off the donation to a food pantry in Wallingford Lifting up 25-30-pound boxes In order to volunteer, you should be: A registered UAServe volunteer (you will have a chance to register if you haven’t already) Willing to attend an orientation prior to volunteering Willing to submit a background check Open to an ongoing volunteer commitment that works with your schedule Willing to use own vehicle with the capacity to hold 50 banana boxes (10"x16"x20") Responsible
