Be a calm presence and make a new friend when volunteering at Tamarisk! Volunteers provide regularly scheduled respite for caregivers and companionship for the patient. For approximately 2-4 hours each week, Tamarisk volunteers assure the safety and well-being of the patient (companion) while the family caregiver is occupied or away. During home visits, Tamarisk volunteers socialize, play cards and other games, puzzles, share a movie or listen to music with the companion.
