People Helping People, It's that simple. Become a part of a program that has helped people file property tax returns at no charge for more than four decades. Volunteers greet or assist Anoka County seniors, low-income and disabled residents file their property and mobile home tax returns (due in Mid-August).

Volunteers are needed to serve at various tax sites in Blaine, Coon Rapids, Columbia Heights, Fridley or Ham Lake in dates of your choosing in June and July. Morning and afternoon shifts of three to four hours are available. Staff and volunteer leaders are at each site to offer support and assistance as needed. No previous experience is needed, but training is required. Training is offered virtually in May, provided by the Minnesota Department of Revenue and RSVP VTP Leaders.

The Anoka County RSVP connects people age 55 and over who want to volunteer with non-profit and social service programs in Anoka County who need volunteers. Volunteers enroll by completing a skills and interests checklist and these are matched to community needs. From the matches, the volunteer selects a volunteer job that is meaningful and fits. Become one of nearly a half million RSVP volunteers across the country who are making a difference in their community.
