Teach homeless and low-income single parents financial empowerment skills. Classes are structured, including a teacher's guide. Financial empowerment includes basic money management, budgeting and credit one on one. In particular, we are looking for help teaching the following position: Attend personal budgeting classes which include helping clients enter receipts into an excel spreadsheet and creating a budget. Ability to discuss basic principles of budgeting. (Curriculum provided) Training is provided- including shadowing all financial classes and two 1-hour Trauma Informed Care Training sessions. It can take 1-2 months of training/shadowing classes before starting to teach your own classes. Volunteers must be 18+. Volunteer screening and background check will be required.

URGENT NEED! A dependable volunteer pick-up and delivery driver with your own truck, van or large SUV to pick up deliveries in Issaquah and deliver them to our Maple Valley Family Hope Center in Maple Valley every Thursday. Day/Time: Each Thursday between 9-12 Must have appropriate vehicle to transport items like cribs, car seats and multiple bags of children's items. Amount/item types vary depending on each week's orders placed. Must be able to lift items like a crib frame, car seat, stroller, etc. 18+ years old, background check is required.

Ride along and provide support as teen aged students are transported to and from their homes to our resource center. We are looking for regular volunteers willing to commit to a weekly shift- Tuesdays or Thursday evenings. Help with transportation only or stay and help during class times as well.

We offer emergency housing for single-parent homeless families in South King County. When a family moves out on the path to stability, then volunteers come in to clean the apartment and get it ready for another family to come and have a safe place to stay. Cleaning supplies are provided -- just bring a smile and willing heart. Volunteer opportunity is located at our Maple Valley location.

Our mission here at Vine Maple Place is to break the cycle of generational homelessness for single parents and their children by offering safety through various housing solutions, building emotional stability and equipping parents for self-sufficiency. One vital area is in Employment Development. Our current needs are: Employment Coaches - Good with résumés and job interviews? Volunteers assist clients with job searching, providing feedback on résumés or cover letters and conducting mock interviews. Volunteer should be motivating, flexible, have excellent communication skills, moderate computer skills and enjoy working in small group settings. Wardrobe Stylist -- Assist with clothing for that important interview or new job Employment Classes and Lab days and times vary. (Both evening and daytime classes are available.) Volunteers must be 18+. Volunteer screening and background check will be required. Trauma Informed Care training will be provided and required.

Vine Maple Place utilizes a unique and innovative approach to meet the needs of our families.
