Vine Maple Place

Teach homeless and low income single parents financial empowerment skills. Classes are structured, including a teacher's guide. Financial empowerment includes basic money management, budgeting and credit one on one.

In particular, we are looking for help teaching these two positions:

  • In person budgeting classes that are on Thursday nights 6:30-7:30pm. This includes helping clients enter receipts into an excel spreadsheet and creating a budget.
  • Host virtual Managing Your Money classes via zoom- Tues/Thurs AM.
We are asking for a weekly commitment. Training is provided- including shadowing all financial classes and two 1 hour Trauma Informed Care Training sessions. It can take 1-2months of training/shadowing classes before starting to teach your own classes.

Vine Maple Place is a Christian organization that addresses the complex issues of family homelessness. Our mission is to break the cycle of generational homelessness for single parents and their children by offering safety through various housing solutions, building emotional stability and equipping parents for self-sufficiency.


Vine Maple Place utilizes a unique and innovative approach to meet the needs of our families. Recognizing that there is a path that leads to homelessness, we strive to meet families wherever they are in their crisis, toxic stress and trauma. As a team, parents, volunteers and staff work collaboratively to implement a custom action plan that emphasizes each family members' strengths, assets and challenges.
