We are currently looking for Coaches to join our SATURDAY program starting MARCH 29, 2025 from 9:30-11:00AM EST Virtually!! WMM builds the financial literacy, confidence, and security of women and girls living on low incomes, through a unique program that combines instructional workshops and personal, one-to-one coaching. Volunteer coaches serve as personal mentors. You don't have to be a finance expert to be a coach. All you need is the desire to help a woman in your community make the most of the money she has. As a volunteer coach, you’ll provide ongoing, one-on-one support for your client - and we’ll support you in that effort. As a start, here’s a summary of what we ask of our coaches: - A genuine interest in and commitment to working with women living on low income - Strict confidentiality of all client financial and personal information - A 12 week commitment to your participant (90 minutes a week) - Participation in a one-hour coaches’ orientation Link to Sign Up: 3.39.25 SATURDAY Program The programs run weekly establishing a partnership for mutual goals between the participant and coach to both succeed. Actively-seeking: Spanish-speaking volunteers for upcoming financial wellness programs * * * * * An hour and a half a week of your time can start a woman in your community on the road to financial independence. You do not have to be a financial wizard to be a coach. All you need is the desire to help someone in your community make the most of the money she has. Women's Money Matters builds the financial literacy, confidence, and security women and girls living on low incomes through a unique program that combines instructional workshops and personal, one-to-one coaching. We work with clients referred by local social service organizations and customize our program to their needs. Local financial institutions assist in leading our classes. Volunteer coaches serve as personal mentors. The special mentoring component customizes assistance to each client. Women living on low incomes- who typically have no access to the financial advisors that educate those with higher incomes - get individualized help with the specific financial issues that keep them in poverty. Teach Financial Skills that Last a Lifetime As a volunteer coach, you’ll provide ongoing, one-on-one support for your client - and we’ll support you in that effort. As a start, here’s a summary of what we ask of our coaches: - A genuine interest in and commitment to working with women with low incomes - Strict confidentiality of all client financial and personal information - 12 week commitment to your participant - Participation in a coaches’ orientation - One or two follow-up contacts with your client between workshops - Participation in our monthly Coaches’ Exchange For an hour and a half a week, you can guide someone in your community along the road to financial independence. You don’t have to be a money-management expert to participate, just someone who wants to help. Per the request of Women's Money Matters students, all coaches are women. Share Your Life Experience In Budgeting, Banking, Debt Payments, and More! Become a Women's Money Matters Presenter and Help Women Reach Their Savings Goals. The Women's Money Matters Program includes 10-14 workshops covering a variety of topics that are presented either in-person or virtually via Zoom. The Presenter plays a key role in the smooth and effective workshop experience. It is the presenters responsibility to engage the audience and deliver the provided curriculum in an interesting and meaningful way. This position requires enthusiasm for the topic, experience engaging an audience of different backgrounds, time management, organization, and planning skills. Commitment Attend a 1 hour Presenter Orientation You may present 1-4 workshops per program (presenters choice) Presentation length is 1.5 hours (including breakout sessions) Join workshop 20-30 minutes prior to start time to meet and engage with Program Lead Details You may specialize in one topic or several Volunteer Manager will notify you of available opportunities Lesson Plans & Slide Deck (for virtual programs) will be provided Know your topic, and be prepared Be sensitive to the personal backgrounds of your audience We encourage sharing your personal expertise/experiences with the audience as long as you follow curriculum and time guidelines Workshop Themes Building the Coaching Relationship "Getting to Know You" "Picture This" Budgeting "Wants Vs.
