Budget Buddies builds the financial literacy, confidence , and security of low-income women through a unique program that combines six months of instructional workshops and personal, one-to-one coaching. We work with clients referred by local social service agencies and customize each program to their specific needs. Volunteers from local financial institutions and other community organizations lead the classes. Volunteer coaches serve as the personal mentors.
I've been working with this wonderful women's organization for a few short months but have already found my experience to be SO rewarding. I originally volunteered as a coach, which has been a great experience helping my "buddy" set and achieve goals toward additional education and job development. I am quickly becoming involved in other aspects of the organization with communication, outreach and fundraising. I love working with women to mentor and empower other women! This is a great "pay it forward" opportunity, join us!
I have been with this organization for about 2 years and I have really loved meeting all the new people in my community. I have found that helping one person can really make me feel like I have made a difference in my community and I loved helping all the people that I have helped. This organization is always willing to grow and develop to whatever the community needs and I can see a big future for his charity and I can't wait to see what is coming up next. You don't need a lot of experience, you just have to have a open heart to want to help women see their potential to make changes in their lives. You really do get to see a transformation and you just want to help more people.

I've been a volunteer with Budget Buddies for a year. I've participated as a Coach three times now and have enjoyed every minute. The network of volunteers that make these workshops happen, and the degree of influence you can have with your respective Buddy is incredibly rewarding. It's more than making a budget and building savings. Budget Buddies seeks to build confidence in the women we serve.
Budget Buddies is a growing organization that is really out to improve the skills of their clients. It's 100% volunteer run. New projects come up every day. You don't have to be a financial expert to help.
