- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
WMM builds the financial literacy, confidence, and security of low-income women in Massachusetts, through a unique program that combines instructional workshops and personal, one-to-one coaching. Volunteer coaches serve as personal mentors. You don't have to be a finance expert to be a coach. All you need is the desire to help a woman in your community make the most of the money she has.
As a volunteer coach, you’ll provide ongoing, one-on-one support for your client - and we’ll support you in that effort. As a start, here’s a summary of what we ask of our coaches:
- A genuine interest in and commitment to working with low-income women
- Strict confidentiality of all client financial and personal information
- An 11 week commitment to your participant (90 minutes a week)
- Participation in a one-hour coaches’ orientation
We are currently looking for coaches for a program in partnership with Haynes House/Madison Park in Roxbury, MA. The program runs weekly on Thursdays from 6:30-8pm from March 16, 2023 to June 1, 2023. **Dinner provided to all volunteers & participants!Reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Berny, at blugo@womensmoneymatters.org or visit https://womensmoneymatters.org/get-involved/volunteer/ for more information.
