Joy after completing a rewarding six months together!

WMM builds the financial literacy, confidence, and security of low-income women in Massachusetts, through a unique program that combines instructional workshops and personal, one-to-one coaching. Volunteer coaches serve as personal mentors. You don't have to be a finance expert to be a coach. All you need is the desire to help a woman in your community make the most of the money she has.

As a volunteer coach, you’ll provide ongoing, one-on-one support for your client - and we’ll support you in that effort. As a start, here’s a summary of what we ask of our coaches:

- A genuine interest in and commitment to working with low-income women

- Strict confidentiality of all client financial and personal information

- An 11 week commitment to your participant (90 minutes a week)

- Participation in a one-hour coaches’ orientation

We are currently looking for coaches for a program in partnership with Haynes House/Madison Park in Roxbury, MA. The program runs weekly on Thursdays from 6:30-8pm from March 16, 2023 to June 1, 2023. **Dinner provided to all volunteers & participants!

Reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Berny, at blugo@womensmoneymatters.org or visit https://womensmoneymatters.org/get-involved/volunteer/ for more information.

Description

Virtual Programming - Women's Money Matters builds the financial literacy, confidence , and security of low-income women through a unique program that combines 3-4 months of instructional workshops (weekly/online via zoom) and personal, one-to-one coaching. We work with participants referred by local social service agencies and customize each program to their specific needs as well as with individuals who reach out to us on their own.
