Calling All Cat Lovers!

Volunteers visit with and handle the cats and kittens in our community cat rooms to encourage socialization and provide opportunities for enrichment throughout the day. We also need assistance with cleaning cat rooms in the morning. Volunteer opportunities are between 9:00am and 5:00pm every day.

If you love shopping and are looking for a fun way to support a great cause, the Paws4ever ReSale Store in Hillsborough is looking for you! We need dependable and creative volunteers to assist customers and accept, process, sort, price and display donated merchandise. The store sells household items such as furniture, small appliances, home decor, pet supplies, etc. Thursday-Saturday 11am to 6pm. Volunteer hours are flexible. Age requirements: Minimum age to volunteer alone is 16 but children may volunteer with a parent.

We strive to pair our fosters with animals who fit the person’s skill level and lifestyle. Want a dog you can take on hikes or to the café for lunch? Great! We’ll match you with a dog who will enjoy your active and outgoing lifestyle! Prefer to stay at home watching Seinfeld reruns? No problem! A senior dog may be the one for you. Most of the dogs currently in our shelter are available to foster with new dogs arriving as we have space. Foster opportunities: Vacation coverage for other foster caregivers Special health needs - illness or injury recovery, special diet or medical treatment Healthy dog or cat Young puppy, nursing or pregnant mom Senior dog Behavioral challenges, including socialization Paws4ever will help you and your foster pet by providing: Pet food, medications and veterinary care as needed Additional supplies as needed and available Promotions to help your foster pet get adopted Outreach events and other exposure opportunities for your foster pet Dog training classes you and your foster dog can attend Workshops and other training opportunities so you can grow your skills as a foster parent All fosters must meet the following requirements: 18 years of age or older Live in a safe home that allows pets Have reliable transportation Personal pets, if applicable, must be up to date on required vaccines Be willing and able to follow all Paws4ever foster care guidelines By partnering with Paws4ever to foster a dog you can help us rescue more pets and provide a loving home while they wait to be joined with their forever family. Volunteer Opportunities: Our Canine Companion volunteers do much more than just walk dogs - they help prepare each dog for his/her future home with in-kennel and outside dog enrichment, training and socialization. Volunteers are also needed to assist the adoption center with morning cleaning. Volunteer opportunities are between 9:00am and 5:00pm at the adoption center and may be outside of these hours if taking dogs off-site to adoption events. Description

Paws4Ever is starting a thrift store in Hillsborough, NC whose profits will go to P4E in our endeaver to rescue more animals and find them forever homes.

We need a manager who can supervise volunteers and do general retail for 3 days a week. This person must be able to be bonded and have experience in the retail field as well as successful supervision.
