Join our bureau of professional guest speakers and help us educate girls and women on a variety of health-related topics through our classes and events. Our speaking opportunities are on an as-needed basis. Volunteers who are interested in being a speaker must hold credentials/certifications, have the experience, and be active in the field/area of health in which they wish to speak on. We request a speaker’s template that will include all of the information listed above plus a resume, video or proof of prior speaking engagements, and a list of references. We will ask for supporting information to determine your eligibility to become part of our speaker's bureau. Volunteers must be 18 years + and must complete a background check. These opportunities include: SMART Lunches: For one hour, present a health topic to women at a business or organization. Girl +1 Healthy Living Workshop: Engage girls and their female caregivers to work together to learn about physical, nutritional, and mental health habits as well as financial and occupational advice in this multi-hour workshop.

The Women's Fund for Health Education and Resiliency are looking for volunteers to assist with activities and logistics at one or more of our fundraising, networking, or health-related events. Activities include set up, registration, explaining The Women’s Fund to potential partners and volunteers, tear down, session monitoring, and more. Examples of our events include attending a health fair or our Girl + 1 Healthy Living Workshop. Our events are on-going, and we will email upcoming volunteer opportunities when they become available. Interested volunteers must be 18 years or older and must pass a background check.

Volunteers are needed to help The Women's Fund staff with general office tasks. General office tasks include but are not limited to as answering phones, assisting with mailings, data entry, organizing supplies for events and classes, and much more! Interested volunteers must be 18 years or older and must pass a background check. Volunteers will be emailed about upcoming volunteer opportunities when they become available.

The Women's Fund for Health Education is looking for volunteers to facilitate our WAM (What About Me?) curriculum-based health classes for girls in English and/or Spanish! Our What About Me? program focuses on building resiliency and prevention, and this health education program teaches young women the life skills that are essential to establishing good personal health habits and developing into strong, healthy women. During the 10-week program, the volunteer will be trained in, and implement, the fall and spring sessions of What About Me?. The What About Me (WAM) course helps girls ages 9-17 address critical health behaviors while building resiliency skills. WAM volunteers will meet with their class once a week for 8 - 10 consecutive weeks for approximately 1 hour Volunteers must be 18 years of age and older and must pass a background check. Our What About Me? and Women’s Health Advocacy Program classes are facilitated by female volunteers due to the sensitive nature of their content.
