Volunteers are needed to help The Women's Fund staff with general office tasks. General office tasks include but are not limited to as answering phones, assisting with mailings, data entry, organizing supplies for events and classes, and much more! Interested volunteers must be 18 years or older and must pass a background check.

Volunteers will be emailed about upcoming volunteer opportunities when they become available.

Mission Statement

The Women's Fund is a non-profit organization that has been active in the field of women's health since 1979, and our mission is to provide health education to those who need it most. Our services include curriculum-based health classes, publications, health education events and one-time educational sessions to the community. We want all Houston area women and girls to have the tools they need to advocate for their health, so we can be a community full of healthy and resilient women and girls.

Description

The Women's Fund for Health Education and Resiliency, formerly The Women's Fund for Health Education and Research, is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1979 to support research in women's health. The Women’s Fund currently has 4 publications that are available to the public free of charge.

The Women's Fund provides our curriculum-based health classes for girls (What About Me?) and women (Women's Health Advocacy Program).

Our What About Me? program is a 10-week curriculum based program that focuses on building resiliency and prevention, this health education program teaches young women the life skills that are essential to establishing good personal health habits and developing into strong, healthy women.

Our Women’s Health Advocacy Program is a 10-week curriculum-based program designed to teach women to practice prevention and be proactive about their health. We believe all women will benefit from these resiliency topics.
