The Women's Fund for Health Education is looking for volunteers to facilitate our WAM (What About Me?) curriculum-based health classes for girls in English and/or Spanish!
Our What About Me? program focuses on building resiliency and prevention, and this health education program teaches young women the life skills that are essential to establishing good personal health habits and developing into strong, healthy women.
- During the 10-week program, the volunteer will be trained in, and implement, the fall and spring sessions of What About Me?. The What About Me (WAM) course helps girls ages 9-17 address critical health behaviors while building resiliency skills.
- WAM volunteers will meet with their class once a week for 8 - 10 consecutive weeks for approximately 1 hour
Our What About Me? and Women’s Health Advocacy Program classes are facilitated by female volunteers due to the sensitive nature of their content.
