Mon Pro Network (MPN) is looking for a person to serve as volunteer Treasurer. The Treasurer is a member of the board of directors and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of MPN’s finances. Not only do they manage and monitor MPN's financial health, but they also keep the board of directors up to speed so that they can make better decisions. Responsibilities Manages MPN’s finances, including budgeting, financial planning, and making sure MPN operates within its budgetary constraints. Presents financial reports to the board of directors and other stakeholders including MPN’s income and expenses, assets and liabilities, and other financial performance indicators. Establishes proper internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and prevent fraud or misuse of funds. Ensures compliance with all relevant financial and accounting regulations, as well as legal requirements or reporting obligations specific to charitable organizations. Manages bank accounts Collaborates with other board members to develop long-term financial strategies that align with MPN’s mission and goals.

We are looking for energetic, caring individuals to serve on the Fund Development Committee for Mom Pro Network (MPN), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering single mothers. This committee typically develops fundraising strategies, finds potential donors, organizes fundraising events, and manages various fundraising activities aimed at generating financial support. The key purpose is to raise funds and to ensure the financial viability and stability of MPN. Responsibilities include: Develop a fundraising plan. This plan may include special or annual events, auctions, end-of-the-year requests, and other activities. Create and organize various events to raise funds. Create a list of in-kind donations desired by MPN and develop strategies to meet those needs. Monitor the progress of fundraising drives Develop and maintain media contact lists Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions Recruit sponsors, participants, or volunteers for fundraising events Secure commitments of participation or donation from individuals or corporate donors Prepare material for charitable events, such as fundraising envelopes, bid sheets, or gift bags Establish fundraising goals or participation goals for special events or specified period Identify or build relationships with potential donors Design or produce materials such as posters, Web sites, or newsletters to promote, market, or advertise fundraising events Solicit cash or in-kind donations or sponsorships from individual, business, or government donors. Provide introductions to business and personal contacts. Educate community members on the importance of MPN's mission. Requirements: Should be comfortable meeting with potential donors to ask for donations Be able to work with all different kinds of people Have good networking skills and connections in the community Have creative ideas and plans to generate resources

Mom Pro Network is looking for fun-loving volunteers to help with our special events. These events can range from a casual Trivia Night at a restaurant/bar to a formal fundraising gala. There are a number of opportunities available and you can participate in as many or as few events as you wish. Special Event Volunteers direct guests to event activities, answer questions about the event and assist visitors at special activity areas. Volunteers will exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, provide guests a warm welcome and fond farewell, anticipate implied and expressed guest needs, and offer additional assistance. Other duties may include ushering, ticket taking, distributing programs and other activities to help ensure that participants have a positive experience. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Before the event, distribute marketing materials to advertise the event Greet attendees and direct guests to event activities Answer guests’ questions about the event and Mom Pro Network Perform other assignments as needed, such as ushering, ticket taking, distributing programs, helping with event activities, and other tasks as requested by the Volunteer Coordinator Adherence to the event’s dress code Set up tables and/or tents Manage the flow of the crowd Tear down tables and/or tents Please note that specific tasks may change depending on the event. SKILLS REQUIRED Outgoing, creative, with a pleasant attitude Ability to work independently and in a team setting Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability and willingness to learn on the job Strong communication skills Flexible attitude during the event
