Come volunteer at Furvivors! Donate your time to help care for the horses and farm animals at the Wonderland. Your time will make a world of difference to the abused, neglected and abandoned souls in rehabilitation at the Wonderland. There are many things volunteers can do for the animals. We find that a lot of our residents have been shorted the necessary human contact, love and affection they so deserve. This is where our volunteers are so needed. Help nurture the resident ' Furvivors' to the next chapter of their best life. Be here for them! No horse experience, no problem. A willingness and commitment to learn and understand what caring for horses is all about is necessary. There is always plenty to do around the farm like stacking hay, filling water buckets, light grooming, cleaning stalls, tack and equipment, walking and exercising horses (for the more horsey experienced) and assisting with events and fundraising. And, a lot of behind the scenes items like social media photography, writing thank you notes, admin tasks, etc., Most importantly, safe, engaging interaction with the animals is most essential. Our farm volunteers are hands-on. We ask that you be responsible, reliable and 18 years old. We also hope that you are able to commit to a weekly 2-hour shift, after orientation and a training period. Reply to this ad, or complete the online volunteer app on our website: www.furvivors.org/volunteer Because we are on private property, our address will be disclosed upon scheduled orientation. We are located in Chester County, Southern Coatesville, PA 19320. We are about 10 minutes from highway Route 30, 20 minutes from Lancaster County and Wilmington DE and 45 minutes west of Philadelphia city. We look forward to meeting you and becoming part of the Furvivors family.

Love Horses? GREAT!! So do we!! Come volunteer with the Furvivors! Donate your time to help care for the horses and farm animals in rehab at the Wonderland. If only a few hours weekly, or monthly, it will make a world of difference to the abused, neglected and abandoned souls we are rehabilitating towards their best life. There are many things volunteers can do for the animals. We find that a lot of our residents have been shorted the necessary human contact, love and affection they so deserve. This is where our volunteers are so needed. We are currently in need of specific boots-on-the-ground positions at the farm. We know it's difficult to commit to regular shifts and while we are a very flexible team, we would love to eventually work out a regular shift. The Furvivors are in great need of: Grooms - no experience, no problem. We can train like-minded individuals to groom our babies. Riders - Evaluators - Horse Experience preferred. Help us evaluate new residents, once they are ready to understand their riding capabilities. And, offer them refresher courses and light work as needed, working closely with the on board Trainer. (this position could be fulfilled by the trainer/exerciser as one role) Trainers - Exercisers - Horse Experience preferred for the obvious reasons. Once we evaluate our residents, we would like to work on very light training and exercise. This will be part of the rehabilitation program. Only a desire to help nurture the resident ' Furvivors' to the next chapter of their best life is needed. Be here for them! Our farm volunteers are hands-on. We ask that you be responsible, reliable, committed and 18 years old. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. (trainers, riders must be 18) Send us an email with your interest to: rescue@furvivors.org or reply to this post. You can also read more about us at www.furvivors.org We are located on private property in beautiful southern Coatesville, PA 19320. Address disclosed upon setting orientation.
