In this volunteer opportunity as a Product, Service or Event Lead you will lead and help provide continuation of products, services or events under our social enterprise during and between internships. This includes mentoring interns in their planning and execution of next steps when they come onboard each semester. A critical understanding about our social enterprise is not that we have a successful product, service or event Go-To-Market but that our interns are able to connect with industry partners, interview individuals at businesses and explore career pathways along the way. Thank you for considering. We looking forward to you joining our team!

In our makerspace high school students have an opportunity to explore their interests in technology and engineering. Our nonprofit offers high school students internships under our social enterprise to Go-To-Market with their product, service or event ideas. In our facility D38's Bearbotics FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 4068 and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams (#s 19541, 19970 and 20771) hold their team meetings and build their competitive robots. We also offer Open Build times for high school students to come in to explore projects. Starting in 2022 we will begin offering Summer Camps to provide opportunities for younger students to be inspired to continue their interests in technology and engineering. Mentors are available to students with their projects and / or they can share projects that they are doing at work or as a hobby to encourage student interests in these fields. In this volunteer opportunity as a Board Member you will lead our nonprofit to success towards our mission to enable and support high school students in technology and engineering with experiences. You should be our strongest advocate, help us raise funds and make industry connections that help our community and capabilities grow. We currently reside within the East Rooms at the Grace Best Facility owned by D38. Currently there are limitations in our space for growth and capabilities. D38 has identified that they intend to make changes to the building, but we are assuming that these changes will not occur until at least 2 years out due to D38 funding. You are an advocate for our programs and programs we support like Bearbotics within Grace Best in its current state and for our future needs. Our Bylaws have been filed and available on the Colorado Secretary of State website: https://www.coloradosos.gov/biz/ViewImage.do?masterFileId=20201028430&fileId=20201128110 Board members terms are two years and start in July. Votes occur in June. Thank you for considering and please follow-up if you have questions. We look forward to meeting with you!

In this volunteer opportunity as an Equipment Trainer / Technician you will be helping us keep equipment running, training students on equipment and monitoring equipment safety needs. If we have high school interns onboard for a semester, they will shadow you and help on tasks. Much of our maintenance and most used items in our space are 3D Printers and laptops, but we do have other equipment in the makerspace we would love your help with. Times that we are open varies. In most cases students are in our space in the evening from 5:30-8:30pm. Our busiest time is during the FRC Build Season from January through mid-March. Thank you for considering and we looking forward to joining our team!
