Are you a cancer survivor? Help someone else make it too.

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

Our volunteers are cancer survivors who provide one-on-one emotional support to people who are currently being treated for cancer. At the present time, because of the coronavirus pandemic, all contact with patients and caregivers is virtual (over the phone, text, email, video chat, etc.). Extensive training is provided via Zoom as we are unable to meet in person at this time. We also support current cancer patients' loved ones that we refer to as caregivers. We have previous caregivers that have undergone extensive training to help walk with current caregivers as they supporr their loved one. Volunteers are matched with patients who've been given the same cancer diagnosis that the volunteers overcame. As survivors themselves, CanCare volunteers have the unique ability to relate to and empathize with clients currently undergoing their treatment. Please, share some hope with someone who needs it! Volunteers needed to provide peer support for cancer patients

CanCare Atlanta has gone virtual! Phone, video call, email, text, snail mail all work when reaching out to someone who needs emotional support when facing the trials of cancer treatment and recovery. Until it's safe to meet in person, we'll be virtually by the side of those who need us. Our volunteers are cancer survivors who provide one-on-one emotional support to people who are currently being treated for cancer. We also have former caregivers who support the cancer patients' caregivers. We provide detailed training and support for our volunteers. Piano Player for Church services

The church I attend has a lovely Grand Piano, but unfortunately we do not have a piano player. The church has a budget of $500 a month for the piano player. Player must profess a relationship with Jesus. We currently only have one worship service, but the praise team "warms up" at 9:00 on Sunday (before Sunday School). The praise team practises one evening during the week, which is usually Thursday evening.
