Do you have a couple hours a month to spend interacting and interpreting for first-time mothers and their babies? Or perhaps you'd rather support behind the scenes with translation of brief flyers and surveys? Let us know what language you would be able to assist us with! Friends of NYC NFP is develops and leads LEAP ( Learn, Eat, and Play) programs which help moms meet and socialize with other moms, while learning about nutrition, finance, making toys out of household objects, and much more. Friends of NYC NFP is developing and leading virtual LEAP (Learn, Eat, and Play) programs to do just that. Please complete our volunteer intake form here so that we can review and get back to you: https://tinyurl.com/2nvexspk We are looking for volunteers who can help us with: Showing mothers the importance of interactions with baby Discussing raising special needs babies Showing support and offering resources Utilize early intervention knowledge to help develop programs for moms and babies This opportunity is perfect for students in graduate programs needing experience in group facilitation (i.e., social work, public health, or other clinical fields) Note: Virtual events are held daytimes and typically are 45 minutes to 1 hour long. We are looking for a CPR instructor to teach a one-hour non-certified class to moms and families in the NYC Nurse-Family Partnership! The goal is to share CPR basics for babies and toddlers as well as the fundamentals for preventing choking.
