We Essex County RAIN (Reaching Adults In Need) Foundation, a group of passionate people with a goal helping Essex County young adults get off the streets and in safe housing. We want them to succeed in life as we offer services to help stabilize them on their walk to becoming more self-sufficient. We need help with board development, fundraising, graphic & web design, marketing plan development, copy writing, financial reporting (CPA), Human Resources, volunteer recruitment, and more. Have you worked in transitional housing? Are you good at organizing, planning and supporting small organizations with big visions to help the community? Then this foundation is the organization for you! We have a list of volunteer opportunities which is currently active on Volunteer Match. Please consider reviewing them to see where you can provide your expertise in helping us grow. There are so many nonprofits experiencing challenges with funding and even moreso ones that address the LGBTQ+ community. Our doors have been opened since 2013!!! A wonderful wonderful milestone. Over the years we've helped countless young adults from ALL backgrounds and walks of life and would love to level up in our outreach to them and to donors who can help fill in the gaps on what grants cannot cover. We have amazing stories to share with our audience to help further bring awareness to the work we’re doing to end homelessness as well as provide emergency housing for LGBT homeless in NJ. Our agency provides housing to homeless LGBT young adults in NJ. Come join an awesome team! We're seeking a web master and Graphic Designer to update, improve and expand our Wordpress website. Basic HTML and social media skills are needed. We also need to design flyers, posters and other collateral we need to promote the great work we're doing and to solicit sponsorship opportunities. Recommended skills: Detail oriented, the ability to work independently as well as be part of a team, knowledge in software programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and/or Illustrator. Requirements: Ability to meet deadlines, be self-directed and take initiative. Hello, we are a homeless shelter for homeless LGBT young adults from 18-26 and we're desperately looking for help and support in our Human Resources area of the non-profit. We have limited funding but what we do have is usually used paying other operational needs to keep the shelter running so having a volunteer that is professional and passionate would help us apply additional or remaining money to the cause. Here are a few things that we need support in: Advises management regarding promotion, termination, disciplinary, and commendatory actions for all employees. Work with staff and managers to investigate and respond to employee relations issues and concerns Collaboratively improves key processes and procedures, such as recruitment, onboarding, orientation and policy implementation. Engages in recruitment of new staff, leading the process with managers and ensuring a passionate and talented applicant pool. Represents the HR Department in internal workgroups and committees.
