We're seeking dedicated individuals to canvass neighborhoods and raise funds for critical programs aimed at ending hunger, providing job search assistance, facilitating education connection and enrollment support, aiding domestic violence and abuse survivors, preventing homelessness, and offering shelter and housing referrals to those in need. **Campaign Details:** - **Duration:** year round, you choose the days (split shifts) - **Training Provided:** Self starter, independent learner, however Some training will be provided to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively engage with potential donors and promote our cause. - **Supportive Environment:** You won't be alone! Our team will accompany you on your first few days, providing guidance and assistance as you familiarize yourself with the campaign. - **Flexible Schedule:** Choose the days and times that work best for you, whether it's mornings, afternoons, or evenings. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES. Calling organizations/grant givers to inquire about grants. 2. Calling donors such as private individuals and foundations regarding funding. 3. Researching correct grant applications to apply, Drafting and submitting grant applications. Work Experience & Skills (PREFFERED NOT REQUIRED) 1. Completion of relevant college-level course work, such as progress towards a degree in marketing, finance, or a related field. 2. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. 3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 4. This position will start as a volunteer role with the potential to transition into a paid internship, when your hard work converts into grant securing for our charity.. We understand that the pandemic has brought unforeseen hardships, including job loss and an increase in domestic violence cases. We believe that no one should have to worry about where their next meal will come from, and with your help, we can make that belief a reality. **Food Sourcing Volunteer Roles:** 1. **Food Donation Coordinator:** Coordinate with local businesses, farms, and food suppliers to secure donations of fresh produce, packaged goods, and other food items. Maintain relationships with donors and ensure that food donations meet quality and safety standards. 2. **Farmers Market Liaison:** Collaborate with farmers market organizers and vendors to source surplus produce and food items for donation. Coordinate pick-up or delivery of donated items and ensure that all food safety regulations are followed. 4. **Food Drive Organizer:** Plan and organize food drives to collect non-perishable food items from community members, schools, businesses, and organizations. Coordinate volunteer efforts to collect, sort, and distribute donated food items to food banks and pantries. 5. **Transportation Volunteer:** Assist with the transportation of donated food items from distribution centers, farms, or businesses to food banks, pantries, and other distribution sites.
