Post Covid 19 many many have lost their jobs or income in the families as a direct loss due to Covid 19. We now know that there were many more Cases of Victims and survivors of Domestic Violence post Covid and during Covid than in prior years.

Our "My Meals matter" hunger eradication initiative is Commited to alleviating hunger and providing essential nutrition to those in need within our community. We understand that the pandemic has brought unforeseen hardships, including job loss and an increase in domestic violence cases. We believe that no one should have to worry about where their next meal will come from, and with your help, we can make that belief a reality.


**Food Sourcing Volunteer Roles:**

1. **Food Donation Coordinator:** Coordinate with local businesses, farms, and food suppliers to secure donations of fresh produce, packaged goods, and other food items. Maintain relationships with donors and ensure that food donations meet quality and safety standards.

2. **Farmers Market Liaison:** Collaborate with farmers market organizers and vendors to source surplus produce and food items for donation. Coordinate pick-up or delivery of donated items and ensure that all food safety regulations are followed.

4. **Food Drive Organizer:** Plan and organize food drives to collect non-perishable food items from community members, schools, businesses, and organizations. Coordinate volunteer efforts to collect, sort, and distribute donated food items to food banks and pantries.

5. **Transportation Volunteer:** Assist with the transportation of donated food items from distribution centers, farms, or businesses to food banks, pantries, and other distribution sites. Help coordinate logistics and ensure that donated food reaches its destination safely and efficiently.

6. **Food Recovery Specialist:** Work with local restaurants, catering companies, and other food establishments to recover surplus food that would otherwise go to waste. Coordinate pick-up or delivery of surplus food items and distribute them to organizations serving those in need.

7. **Food Rescue Driver:** Serve as a driver for food rescue operations, picking up surplus food donations from various locations and delivering them to designated distribution sites. Ensure that all food safety protocols are followed during transportation.

**Warehouse Assistant:** Assist with the sorting, inventory management, and distribution of donated food items at food bank or pantry warehouses. Help organize and maintain inventory, and prepare food packages for distribution to individuals and families in need.

9. **Food Distribution Volunteer:** Volunteer at food distribution sites such as food banks, pantries, and community meal programs. Assist with greeting clients, distributing food items, and ensuring that clients receive the support and resources they need.

10. **Outreach Coordinator:** Raise awareness about food insecurity issues and available resources in the community. Coordinate outreach efforts to connect individuals and families in need with food assistance programs and services.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had far-reaching consequences, extending beyond health concerns to economic and social challenges. Many individuals and families in our community have been severely affected by the economic downturn, resulting in job loss, financial instability, and food insecurity. Additionally, the pandemic has exacerbated issues related to domestic violence, with survivors facing even greater difficulties in seeking safety and support.

**Role and Responsibilities:**

As a Food Drive Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our efforts to gather and drop off food at one of our charitity drop off locations.

We feed those who are hungry, cannot afford healthy nutritious meals daily, this can be midddle classes ofcourse, we also focus on those who have been hit hardest by the pre and post pandemic. Your responsibilities will include:

- Organizing and coordinating food drives and donation collection events, with a special focus on supporting those who have lost jobs due to COVID-19. Domestic Violence, War zone, and gender violence survivors and victims. Military Members and families!
- Collaborating with local businesses, schools, and community groups to collect food donations and raise awareness about the impact of the pandemic. And the effects of poor nutrition on health and on families all across the country.
- Ensuring the safe handling and transportation of collected food items, following health and safety guidelines.
- Supporting our food distribution efforts to reach those who are experiencing food insecurity as a direct result of the economic challenges posed by the pandemic.
- Engaging with volunteers and donors to foster a sense of community and shared purpose, particularly in light of the increased instances of domestic violence during this time.

[Standup To Our Perpetrators] was founded by 2 Volunteers with a deep-rooted commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable communities. Our journey began [in 2011, self funded volunteer run not yet registered, We became a registered Charity officially in 2021]

Goals:

1. Empower women
2. Promote education among underserved
3. Support the homeless population by providing safe housing/shelter.
5. Extend a helping hand to refugees, asylum seekers, and victims of human trafficking, offering aid, integration support, and rehabilitation services.
